Quality Custom Molding (QCM) began producing highly crafted metal products in 1902 but diversified into blow molding and injection molding in the mid-1960s. As technologies evolved and customers’ needs shifted, Quality Custom Molding began providing custom blow molded products and related ancillary services to OEMs and retail markets in a wide-range of industries: lighting, agriculture, medical, marine, toys, sport goods, automotive, lawn & garden, and pet products, among others.
Centrally located in Linn, Missouri, QCM has responded to the needs of OEM’s and retail markets throughout the Midwest and abroad. Our 82,000-square-foot facility, including a maintenance department and machine shop, is outfitted with the latest in blow molding machinery and robotic trimming equipment for process automation and adept manufacturing.

Meet Our Team
Kristin and Mark Volmer bought QCM in Q1 2019. Mark worked as an executive in the international chemical industry and has a wide experience in the commercial space for B2B and manufacturing. Kristin has been a professional in the health care industry. Together they intend to make QCM a company that respects its customers and employees and stakeholders.
Dora Lafferty is the plant manager and worked for over 20 years in the plastic processing industry. Dora is a motivated, and versatile plastics professional, offering comprehensive quality assurance, processing experience, and management skills with extensive experience in a plastic manufacturing environment. Knowledgeable in LEAN principles including 5s and Kaizen methodologies. Established an excellent reputation with in the plastic industry.
Melvin Moore is the processing manager for QCM and has over 30 years of experience in blow molding plastics. If it can be blow molded, Melvin has done it.
Automation and Mold Management
Jacob Mehler is head of automation and mold management. He has gained extensive experience with mold design, manufacturing as well as with the development of secondary equipment for further processing.
Michelle Reinert is the office manager for QCM and is responsible for the customer service activities and almost everything else.
